Plant your flag.

Working with Racks is not a stepping stone. It's a decision to stand apart from the crowd, plant your flag as a professional, and build something that lasts.

Life insurance and annuities protect trillions in family wealth, and the demand for them never goes away. For the agent willing to treat this as a profession, the opportunity is as large as any in financial services.

RACKS LIFE was built for a special kind of agent. Our mission is simple: deliver tailored insurance solutions to our clients at scale, while giving our agents uncapped growth potential — through industry-leading technology, direct carrier access, real training, and market access most agents never see.

Over the coming weeks, you'll work through a series of milestones that launch your first year. Inside this packet you'll find what it means to work with RACKS LIFE, what you'll need to achieve, and what to expect in year one and beyond.

It is with great pleasure, humility and gratitude that you have chosen this path with RACKS LIFE — and it is my personal commitment to ensure that you not only find success, but create a lasting legacy from this day forward.

04 · Industry overview

The quiet giant

Life insurance is the quiet giant of financial services — one of the oldest, largest, and most durable industries in the world. It has paid claims through every recession, war, and market crash in modern history. Demand for what we do never goes away.

$22.2T

of life insurance in force in the United States today — a record.

100M

$124T

the largest wealth transfer in history, moving between generations through 2048.

The coverage gap

Four in ten consumers are underinsured — not because they don't want protection, but because no professional has ever sat across from them and shown them the real numbers.

The great wealth transfer

Life insurance and annuities are the instruments families use to protect, structure, and pass that wealth. The professionals positioned in front of that flow will do the best work of their careers.

Meanwhile the supply side is thinning — the agent workforce is aging toward retirement faster than the industry replaces it. State licensing keeps tourists out. That isn't an obstacle; it's what makes this a profession.

05 · Earning potential

The straight math

We're not going to show you industry averages — the average agent treats this like a side hustle and is gone within a year. This is the actual math of the business.

How the money arrives

Commission is a percentage of the client's one-year annual premium — typically 50–100% by product and contract level.

75% ADVANCE
25%

Advance — paid at issue

Carriers advance nine months of your annual commission the moment the policy issues. No waiting a year to get paid.

Backend — months 10–12

The remaining three months pay as the client pays premium.

Renewals — years 2+

A trailing percentage on every policy that stays on the books — income that compounds as your book grows.

05 · Earning potential

On target earnings

Same product mix, three levels of weekly activity — and what disciplined production compounds to across a full year.

Top Producer

The honest print. Advances are earned when clients keep their policies. If a policy lapses in year one, the unearned portion charges back — which is exactly why we obsess over quality business, warm leads, and real training. Agents who write right get paid and stay paid. No salary cap, no promotion committee. Production is the only gatekeeper.

06 · Our model

One published ladder

Most shops hide their comp grid until after you've signed. Ours is the opposite: one ladder, identical for every agent, climbed on production alone. Every policy is a permanent brick — levels never reset.
